This is indeed Murano Glass Jewelry made using the "LAMP WORKING" technique where a glass artisan sits in front of a blow torch and blends various colors of molten glass canes with millefiore beads that have already been made. The process of making millefiore canes is incredibly difficult in itself. Necklace is 24 inches long, clasp end to clasp end with ¼” (8 mm) beads. Each bead is enhanced with gold tone florets separating each bead. To maintain separation, a hand tied knot is affixed on the thread. There are no hallmarks or maker’s marks visible on this piece.
Research yields that this genre necklace was issued during the 50's.
